Crosland Sells Mountain Island Village site to Mecklenburg County Public Library

Charlotte, NC (September, 2002) - The Mecklenburg County Public Library recently purchased a site at Crosland's Mountain Island Village in Charlotte, NC for an 18,000 s.f. branch. Mountain Island Village is a 14-acre mixed-use development modeled after a traditional Nantucket style village. It is located at the southwest corner of the Hwy. 16 and Rozzelles Ferry Road intersection, and includes plans for up to 100,000 s.f. of commercial space.

Also locating to Mountain Island Village is Vinnie's Sardine Grill and Raw Bar, which recently signed a 10 year lease in Building II of the project. The 150 seat restaurant is Vinnie’s fourth Charlotte location and is expected to open in January of 2003, offering customers indoor and outdoor seating along the project’s main street.
