Crosland Brings Two New Tenants to Jetton VillageCity Tavern, Springsteed Realty Open First Lake Norman LocationsCharlotte, N.C., Nov. 5, 2004 –
Crosland has executed leases with Springsteed Realty and City Tavern, two Charlotte-based businesses that recently
opened in Jetton Village, a diverse retail center located at Catawba Avenue and
Old Jetton Road in Cornelius. Jetton Village provides both companies their
first location north of the city.
Springsteed Realty’s new 2,275-square-foot space in Jetton Village will serve as
the company’s second location (with one other location off Park Road in south
Charlotte). Owner John Springsteed, who founded the full-service real estate
firm in 1972, says the move is in line with the company’s continued growth.
Springsteed plans to hire an additional 40 employees to work out of Jetton
Village, and to add offices northwest and east of the city in the future.
“Jetton Village is a very visible, high-traffic area, and carries with it a name
recognition, which is very important in our business,” Springsteed said. “This
spot helps us be more accessible to expanding residential communities like those
in Huntersville, Cornelius, Denver, Morrisville and Lake Norman.”
Springsteed Realty sits adjacent to 8,000-square-foot City Tavern, which opened in October in the space
previously occupied by Southend Brewery. Owner John Weinbrenner remodeled the
interior to include special event areas that feature a dance floor, lighting and
two private dining rooms seating up to 25 and 75 people. City Tavern’s
trademark of providing a comfortable and upscale dining experience is evident in
the soft lighting and neutral colors used throughout the restaurant. A
fireplace, plush couches and custom bar offer the ideal atmosphere in which to
dine or socialize. Outdoor seating accommodating up to 40 people is also
available.
