Crosland’s Shops at Greenridge Signs Final Junior Anchors Greenville, S.C., Feb. 2, 2005-
Crosland’s Shops at Greenridge, a 600,000-square-foot regional center the
company is developing at I-85 and Woodruff Road, has signed three additional
junior anchors to the regional center. Marshalls and HomeGoods, Linens ’n Things
and World Market have all executed leases with Crosland and represent the
remaining three of 11 anchors that will be featured at the center.
The Marshalls and HomeGoods store will be the first concept of its kind for the
city, while Linens ’n Things and World Market will open their first Greenville
stores. The Shops at Greenridge has already attracted five retailers that are
new to the city, as well as two new to the state.
While these tenants will occupy the center’s remaining anchor space, Crosland is
currently engaged in conversation with a number of specialty stores and
restaurants that will be featured in Greenridge’s village area, a
100,000-square-foot central shopping area with a plaza featuring a fountain,
sidewalks and outdoor seating.
Three New Anchors
The TJX Companies Inc. introduces its first
Marshalls and HomeGoods store to the city of Greenville at The Shops at
Greenridge. Combining home furnishings and giftware with its traditional
selection of apparel all under one roof, the store will offer customers a wide
selection of home fashions including everything from high-end kitchen appliances
to giftware, at prices 20 to 60 percent below department stores, specialty
stores and catalogues. Situated between PETsMART and Ross, the
55,000-square-foot store will devote 20,000 square feet to domestic goods and
35,000 square feet to apparel for men, women and children.
Linens ’n Things, the nation’s leading large-format retailer of linens,
housewares and decorative home accessories, also introduces its first store in
the city. Occupying 29,100 square feet of space, the retailer will be located
between Ross and World Market and will feature items relating to bath and
bedding, dining, home décor, gifts and seasonal products.
The 18,600-square-foot World Market store will feature a diversified selection
of distinct products from more than 50 different countries around the world. The
retailer’s international network of buyers travel the globe to find the most
exclusive collection of decorative accessories, gourmet foods, beverages,
housewares and home furnishings. World Market also features a wide array of
international and domestic wines, collectibles, jewelry, and unique gift items.
“The diversity of domestic products offered by these
anchors at The Shops at Greenridge will be a great resource for residents in the
area,” said Charles Thrift, leasing associate with Crosland. “We are pleased
with our anchor tenant line-up and look forward to securing leases with an array
of specialty stores and restaurants for the village area.”
