|  |  | National Apartment Association Names CAA President Mindy McCorkle 2006 Professional Designate of the YearCharlotte, NC, May 24, 2006 - The Charlotte Apartment Association is pleased to announce that its 2006 President, Mindy McCorkle, has been named 2006 Professional Designate of the Year by the National Apartment Association. Ms. McCorkle is Operations Manager for Crosland, Inc. and holds both the NAA’s CAM (Certified Apartment Manager) and CAPS (Certified Apartment Property Supervisor) designations.
McCorkle will receive this accolade at the NAA’s annual Paragon Award Ceremony on June 17, 2006 in Denver, CO. The Paragon Awards recognize the excellence and leadership among multifamily industry professionals. Receipt of a National Apartment Association Paragon Award acknowledges unique contributions to the industry as well as personal and professional achievement.
Mindy McCorkle has served the CAA in various capacities since 1997: as Vice President, Treasurer, Board Member, Committee Chair, and NAA Designation Course Instructor. She was named CAA’s Manager of the Year in 1996, Volunteer of the Year in 1998, and was the first recipient of the Association’s Instructor of the Year Award in 2005. McCorkle also serves on the Board of the Apartment Association of North Carolina and plays an active role in the state-level organization.
