Blakeney Vision Becoming Reality as Tenant Portfolio Expands

Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 27, 2006 – Blakeney, south Charlotte’s newest shopping destination, continues to grow with the September construction start of the final phase of its southwest corner. Site work will start in early October and buildings will likely begin in late fall on the junior anchor lineup of approximately 95,000 square feet, which will include Marshalls/Home Goods and Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse. Also joining Blakeney in the Village are Coldwater Creek, White House/Black Market, Sugar Magnolia, Five Guys Famous Burgers & Fries and Salad Creations.

“Our vision for Blakeney is to provide a diverse shopping destination for the prospering, ever-growing south Charlotte and northern Union County areas,” said Ryan Preston, director of leasing for Crosland. “By adding these national retailers, specialty shops and quality restaurants, we are quickly seeing that vision become a reality for these residents.”

National Retailers

Marshalls/Home Goods (55,000 square feet) will offer a wide selection of current season, top quality, brand name fashions for the entire family, as well as gifts and domestics for the home at prices 20-60 percent less than those offered by department stores, specialty boutiques and catalogs. Combining home furnishings and giftware with its traditional selection of apparel all under one roof, the store will offer customers a wide selection of home fashions, including everything from high-end kitchen appliances to giftware.

Showcasing up to 50,000 pairs of designer footwear for men and women at discount prices, Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse (18,000 square feet) will offer the latest in-season shoes, including everyday, professional and formal-wear styles, in addition to featuring an assortment of stylish handbags.

With unique merchandise chosen from a personal point of view, Coldwater Creek (6,428 square feet) is an integrated retailer of women’s apparel, jewelry, gifts and accessories. Catering to the professional woman, Coldwater carries a range of clothing including misses, petites and women’s casual and versatile clothing.

Offering a boutique-style setting, White House/Black Market (3,525 square feet) is known for its timeless style and gracious service, with clothing and décor that is “decidedly feminine.” This upscale store, in the Village, will feature women’s clothing, lingerie, accessories, jewelry and gifts exclusively in shades of black and white.

Coldwater Creek and White House/Black Market will open in the fourth quarter of 2006 while Marshalls/Home Goods and Off Broadway plan to open during the second quarter of 2007.

Unique Dining in the Village Green at Blakeney

Sugar Magnolia (2,280 square feet) will offer diners a taste of the lowcountry in a relaxed yet refined atmosphere with exceptional cuisine, outstanding service and remarkable value. Menu staples will include Southern specialties such as fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits, and crab cakes. In addition, Sugar Magnolia will offer daily selections of fresh fish and steaks. Dinner will be served nightly Tuesday through Sunday.

Five Guys Famous Burgers & Fries (2,392 square feet) will offer fresh-from-the-grill variations of the American classic. Hamburgers, cheeseburgers and bacon burgers will all be served with a choice of toppings from fried onions to sautéed mushrooms. Fries are cooked in peanut oil and served either regular or Cajun-style. Also on the menu are hot dogs and grilled cheese, along with North Carolina peanuts. Hours of operation will be from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. daily.

Freedom of choice and freshness are the foundations at Salad Creations (1,192 square feet). A fast, casual concept, Salad Creations offers guests a wide range of made-to-order menu items using the freshest ingredients available. Guests can choose from a menu of salads, wraps, soups and smoothies. But the most popular item is the option to “create your own salad,” where diners can select from a variety of greens, then add their own protein and veggies, and choose from 17 dressings.

Sugar Magnolia, Salad Creations and Five Guys Burgers join an array of dining options at Blakeney, including 131 Main, Brixx, Chili’s, Cold Stone Creamery, Encore Café, McAlister’s Deli, Brixx, McDonald’s and Starbucks. Outdoor dining is available at Sugar Magnolia, Salad Creations, Five Guys Famous Burgers & Fries, Brixx and Encore Café.
