Anderson Joins Crosland’s Charlotte Office as VP of Construction

Charlotte, N.C., March 2, 2007 – Crosland LLC, one of the Southeast’s leading real estate companies, has hired Bill Anderson as vice president of construction for the company’s contracting division.

Crosland’s contracting division had its most successful year ever in 2006, doubling its total sales volume to $100 million, so Anderson’s hire is a key component of the division’s continued growth.

Anderson has 26 years of residential development experience, in particular focusing on urban infill and mixed-use projects. Prior to joining Crosland, Anderson operated his own high-density multifamily consulting business. From 1995 to 2002, he was senior vice president of construction at Post Properties, overseeing development on both the East and West coasts, including the award-winning Riverside, Atlanta’s first neo-traditional development.

He will report to Denon Williams, president of the contracting division, and will oversee the daily operations of Crosland’s projects in the Charlotte region. He will be responsible for the planning, management and supervision of construction activity, as well as business development.

“The strength of Crosland’s contracting division is in multifamily construction, both for Crosland and for third-party partners, so bringing aboard someone who has worked at the highest levels of the multifamily arena will further enhance our abilities,” said Williams. “As a whole, Crosland is assessing mixed-use and urban infill opportunities more frequently than at any time in our 70-year history, so this hire will help us deliver some truly innovative projects.”

Anderson’s development career also includes project management posts at Pulte Homes, Trammell Crow and Staubach. He is a member of the Building Industry Association, Construction Specification Institute, Home and Apartment Builders Association, National Association of Home Builders and the Urban Land Institute. He holds a bachelor’s of science in industrial technology from East Carolina University.
